Fixing Our Political System

Yes, it can be done!

It must be done!

Only requires common sense!

We don’t need more money in politics nor more hand-picked politicians of the party leadership, we need better “people” holding political office. Honest, decent, hard-working, Independent thinking people who can’t be bought and who have the backbone to stand up against anyone in Washington they go against.

With deference to Mr. Twain, most Members of Congress aren’t idiots;

They know what they are doing, the impact of inaction & grandstanding on their constituents, and the strings attached to big money.
They just don’t care!

We CAn Do Better- We Deserve better

Better Candidates Running = Better Government

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

George Washington- FAREWELL ADDRESS | SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 17, 1796

Must Listen to Constituents

Imagine if your representatives were guaranteed to listen and poll/survey their constituents continuously to know how they feel

Vote Based on Constituents

Representatives must guarantee to vote how the majority of their constituents feel based on the surveys/feedback.

Fiduciary Duties to Constituents

Each member of Congress should sign a pledge to put the interests of their constituents above their own. They are there to serve!

No Stock Trading Allowed During Term

Only in Washington, would they think receiving classified briefings and then trading stock ahead of the public release of information is okay.

Fixing Something Is Better Than Fixing Nothing

Perfection is the enemy of progress. After negotiating as hard as possible they will support any legislation that improves on the current situation.

No Hypocrisy Allowed

We can’t allow the lies and hypocrisy to continue. Just because everyone in Washington or your state capital does it doesn’t make it right. It’s destroying our democracy!

We know what you’re thinking! There’s no way to find politicians who would agree to these conditions. You are likely correct, so we need more honest people running for office. Before you dismiss the idea, think about someone you know in your community who is honest & trustworthy? You might have even said before you wish they would run for office. Honest people in the world exist just not currently in Washington, DC.

You don’t need a degree from an Ivy League school to know right from wrong. You just need a sense of morality and the backbone to stand up for yourself and your constituents.
